Hello all! We have some great things coming up in 3DMP!

Vesey's Bulbs

We are excited to let you know that we will once again be hosting a Vesey's Bulbs fundraiser this year. Information will come home in late March for those of you interesting in gardening this spring.

Create and Learn Lego 

3DMP is looking forward to an in-school field trip with Create and Learn using Lego on March 5. Create and Learn will guide the students through creating and testing bridges. This is a great tie-in with our Science units on Testing and Building using a Variety of Materials and Designs. 

Please check your child's kanga pouch for more information. Payment can be made by cash, cheque (payable to East Elementary School), or online through Power School.

Fun Times at East

Everyone had a fun lunch recess in the snow today! Have a great weekend, everyone!

Unplugged
We encourage you this Family Day weekend to be "unplugged". Spend time playing outside in the warmer weather, playing board games, or reading a book.

Pancake and PJ Day
Thank you to our wonderful support staff for arriving early and preparing all of us fresh pancakes for Pancake and PJ day. We appreciate it so much!

Language Arts
In language arts we have been focusing on story starters and endings. We have learned that starting the story with an action or a sound is much more exciting than using once upon a time. We also decided that concluding a story with a thought or memory is better than trailing on and cutting off the tale.

Math
This month we have been learning about measurement. Students learned the difference between centimeters, meters and kilometers. We also learned all about perimeter. Unit tests will be going back shortly.

Science
In Science, we have been testing the strengths of different pillars and fasteners. Ask your child what they've learned so far!

Social
In Social, the students had a great time creating their own pysanky designs while learning about Ukraine's culture.
